The Craft of Conferencing is a conference production and consulting firm led by Charles Laughlin, a supremely experienced conference organizer and moderator with a resume that includes events and content work with organizations including The Kelsey Group, BigFive Digital, ALSMA, Localogy, and others.

Charles’ events practice is global. He has produced events in the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, and many other locales.

His favorite travel story involves a dinner in Myanmar at a North Korean-owned-and-operated restaurant. There were no portraits of Kim. But there was live entertainment.

Charles is also a journalist who publishes newsletters and hosts and produces podcasts focused on trends in technology that impact small businesses around the world.

Over the course of his conferencing career, Charles has developed a proven process for conceiving and executing world-class events. He now wants to share this process with organizations that want to produce world-class events themselves.
